V4 FOR THE RESCUE STARTUP PROGRAMME

The project is co-financed by the Governments of the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia through Visegrad Grants from International Visegrad Fund. The mission of the fund is to advance for sustainable regional cooperation in Central Europe.

ABOUT THE PROJECT
The COVID-19 crisis is causing an upcoming and emerging financial and economic decrease, which will hit all plans done until now by startups and innovation teams. Though a recovery plan is in the making, and EU is discussing very ambitious measures to foster innovation in all regions, one of the biggest threats in the situation is that many of the current innovation teams and startups will not survive long enough to really benefit from it.
We plan to create a manual, instruction of how to survive the current crisis and in the same time improve it for investment. With the elaborated materials, we plan to reach as a wide audience as possible until the end of 2020 and continue to disseminate it in the beginning of 2021, targeting to deliver knowledge to more than 400 startups in all V4 countries. With the start of 2021 we plan to run a practical program and a 2nd level test with 20 startups with online webinars and one-to-one coaching with mentors, who have had previous crisis experience and will help them shield for their survival. We will also encourage all startups to join teams and work together - for some of them this will be the best chance to survive.
